Stumble Bum

I hereby declare that I am clumsey. When I shower it is always an adventure playing spot the new bruises. I am in the mood to talk about this because I just bashed my arm as I was sitting down at the computer. I'll know where that bruise came from, others are pure mystery. My sister Kim calls herself "Walks Into Walls," I am "Thunks into Everything." For me an obstacle course would be target practise. When I am carrying Lizzy I try to be VERY carefull of her. So I bang my elbows on door frames, step on things with sharp corners and hit my head on whatever it can reach.

I am not too clumsy with Lizzy, she takes care of it all on her own. Have you ever seen a baby yank on her own ear and then cry because for some reason her ear hurts? She also likes to grab hold of her toys, or whatever is within reach, and mush them into her face. I was watching her while she was falling asleep earlier today and she must have mushed things into her face at least twenty times before she finally dozed off. Perhaps she does it in an effort to stave off sleep. She will often cry for about a minute and then suddenly crash into a power nap. She is surely going to be one f those kids who get cranky when they are too tired. At least she wakes up happy. This makes her forgiving when she is awake and I am snuggled up next to her begging her for a few more minutes of sleep.

Oh, I just remembered that I meant to have her weighed and measured again today. Well, I might get to it tomorrow. I can already tell you that she is getting big. I think she must be close to 16 pounds now. I could always find out by stepping onto my scale with her. It is not as accurate but close enough perhaps.
