Remembering

Since today is Remembrance day I have been devoting some time to thinking about the sacrifices people have made in the past to keeping our country free and safe. I am grateful that Lizzy gets to grow up in a place where her rights are respected. I may rile against the military bent of our government and especially against the USA's military policy, but I acknowledge that sometimes diplomacy and posturing is not always enough. Though WWI still baffles me I totally understand the need to stand and fight in WWII. In more recent events I support the decision to step in and take action against the Taliban in Afghanistan. The human rights violations that were being committed in that country and by them to other countries justified outside intervention.
So thank you to the soldiers who in the past, present and future have stepped up to the plate to protect humanity from itself.

Terri
